What is security fogging?
Security fogging is an active intrusion control. On detection, the system fills the protected space with dense fog, reducing visibility to roughly 25 centimetres so an intruder cannot locate assets or navigate the space. It intervenes in the incident rather than only recording it.
Is the fog safe?
Yes. The fog is produced from a food-grade glycol mixture and is certified safe for people, animals and goods. It is harmless to sensitive electronics and delicate fabrics, does not catch fire, and leaves no residue once the space has been ventilated.
How fast does it activate?
Reaction time is 0.1 seconds from receiving the trigger. Output is up to 50 cubic metres of fog per second — 28 m³/s on the 240 DB, 50 m³/s on the compact 320 — and in a narrow-nozzle configuration the fog is projected 10 metres within the first two seconds.
Does it replace my existing alarm system?
No. Fog Bandit integrates with the intrusion detection already installed — PIR sensors, door and window contacts and the alarm panel itself — and adds an active response to it. Monitoring and dispatch continue to work as before.
Can it be used while the premises are occupied?
Yes. Alongside overnight protection, the system supports a short controlled activation triggered by a discreet panic button during trading hours, creating a fog curtain between the raider and staff or goods.
Does the fog leave residue?
No. The fog leaves no residue after the space has been ventilated, which is what allows it to be deployed around stock, equipment and IT hardware.
